scrappin time!
For Christmas I asked for a Making Memories Slice and my parents surprisingly got it! So last night I finally got a chance to sit down and play with it! I really like how small it is and yet it does so much! I scrapped 4 pages last night afterwards and have done 2 today! I am going back to work next week and know I won't have time for a while. I kept them all simple because I am months behind. Here is one I did today. I realized after I finished it that I forgot to leave room to journal. Oops!

A tough day!
Wow this week I have been on an emotional roller coaster. It started on Monday. We took Daniel to his new babysitter's. He did great but I was a mess. I made it through. Joe came with us. Then Tuesday came and I had to take him alone and I think it was even tougher. Thursday he already had to miss. Friday I was doing great but on the way there I got a call from my mom, I knew something was wrong she never calls me at 8am from work. My grandma had been helicopter to a hospital in Los ANgeles. She had a brain aneurysm. The colt was the size of my fist and she was is a coma. My dad was with her all day Friday but it did not look good. This morning I got the call that I knew was coming we had to go say our good byes. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. But to see her there like that made me know that she would be in a better place. We had a priest come and say her last rights and then we had to take her off life support. It was extremely hard!! Our family has lost so many loved ones this year. I don't think I can handle anymore! At this moment though I'm not crying anymore I feel at peace knowing that she is ok now. But please keep my family in your prayers this is going to be an extremely hard Christmas! But also Daniel's first so we will make the best of it!!
Here are a few photos to share of my grandma from last February when she turned 80! Love you Nagymama!

My grandma at Disneyland! She loved going there and even at 80 loved to get on as many rides as she could! I have great memories going there as a kid with her and running on rides before the park would close for the night!

Santa and our tree
We are ready for Christmas! Well almost, I still have shopping to do but our house is all decorated. Yesterday we thought would be the perfect day to go to the mall to see Santa. We have a few busy weekends coming up and figured it was the best time. We got there before Santa arrived. We were 6th in line and waited about a half hour or so. The two babies in front of us both cried and the parents didn't even bother getting a photo. Daniel on the other hand was chatting away in line and loved Santa! At first he just stared up at him and pulled on his beard but when I called his name he looked at me and was laughing away for the camera! He is a little ham!
Here we are in line passing the time.

And here is a scanned copy of the photo we bought.

Next we headed back home to get the truck to go tree shopping! Last year we found a tree called a Grand Fir. it was really pretty and we wanted the same this year. We went to Lowe's and they only had 4! They were dry and muddy! We left and went to Home Depot and they didn't have any. I suggested that we just get a Noble Fir but Joe doesn't like those he says! So we headed to a tree lot. Now I knew before getting out of the truck that it would be like a car lot, someone basically following you around trying to sell you a tree. Sure enough it was! The first young man to help us must have been about 20 or so. He led us to the Grand Firs. We decided that they were way too pricey and we would just go back to Home Depot and get a Noble. But as we tried to walk out an older man asked us why we were leaving and led us back to the area we were in. He basically talked us into a tree! We are suckers! The tree was marked as $70 and we got it for $50 and didn't get charged tax. A little more than we normally pay but it's a nice tree. We got it up last night. Last years tree was much bigger at only $35.00 but we got the tree that Joe wanted so that's what matters! :) Here it is all pretty!

And real quick last night Daniel sat up all by himself!! We were so proud of him! He has been practicing for weeks but was falling over but last night he was sitting up for long periods of time playing and laughing away!

2 new los!
While browsing through blogs I came across a sketch by Emilie Ahern. I tend to print only 4x6's so when I saw the sketch I knew I could use it. So I did! I did two lo's on the same day and both took about 20 minutes each! I love that! My pile of pictures is growing by the minute so I love when I can do a page or two quickly! Here they are, nothing to fancy, just sweet and simple!

I am finishing up a fall book I started. Just need to print some Thanksgiving pictures to add to it. Hopefully I can finish by the end of the week. Speaking of Thanksgiving we had a pretty good one. We started off at my parents house and ate there first. My parents always smoke their turkey, it's the best! I am not a fan of turkey but I loved it smoked! We had some yummy desserts. I fyou know my mom you know she loves to bake! She made something new that she found in her Taste of Home mag and it was yummy, pumokin and chocolate cake! I am also not a fan of pumpkin pies but this was awesome! So enough about food! Then we headed to the in-laws. We had a great dinner, even though we were stuffed from the first round of eating! But then after dinner while we were filling out our wish lists, dh's grandpa was having some chest pains. We ended up having to call 911. He is still in the hospital. He has been having issues with his heart but he is at the point where they can't do much for him. It's really sad! Please keep him in your prayers.
