Happy Memorial Day!

We have had such a relaxing weekend! It has been nice! I did not do good with my diet though! :( It began Friday night when we went out to dinner with my bil and sil. Saturday they came over and we had dinner together again! My sil and I both did one page from our fishing trip last weekend! That is the lo I am sharing.


Yesterday we went to my parents to have dinner with them. Today we were going to make steaks but on our way home from checking out my brother's new condo we decided to have Chili's for dinner! Bad, bad, bad! I feel bad, and so I need to get back on track tomorrow!

So glad this week is short! We have a lot going on at school being that it's the end of the school year! Tomorrow is a super minimum day so that us teachers can do some work on our smart goals that we set for this last trimester. Wednesday I have a planning day and I will be working on report cards. That evening we have a retirement tea for our districts retiree's. Each school gets up and sings/dances. We are doing the hula! Should be funny!!! Then only 2 days till the weekend again!

Our fishing trip!

Last Thursday was my open house at school and it went very well. Lots of parents came! I did something new this year, we made a caterpillar with grass seeds. We used woman's knee high nude socks, filled them with soil that had grass seeds mixed in and let them grow. Then we glued on some eyes and such and this is what we ended up with. The parents and the kids loved them! Some of my students kept asking when they would turn into real butterflies!!

Friday morning at 1:45 am we left with my my husband's family and we headed to the mountains. It was way too early for me!! We made it to Rock Creek by breakfast time and met my parents and one brother. We fished the whole weekend. I caught 5 fish on my own!!! Joe caught a lot more! It was fun, very beautiful and relaxing!! Here are a few pictures from our weekend!

It's Monday!

The weekends always fly by so fast! On Saturay Michelle and I had a great time at our crop. I finished 5 los. I thought I would get more done but I really love all of them. We had a really good time and they fed us well, we had Baja Fresh for lunch, one of my fav's! Yesterday was a busy day starting with weighing in at our ww meeting. I lost another 2 pounds! Then I ran to the grocery store, Wal-mart, Sam's club and my classroom before heading to the in-laws. We had a great bbq lunch with tri tip, chicken and lots of salads. Can't forget the cake! Then we head to my parents for dinner, it was another round of bbq skewers and salads! And my mom made her famous srawberry pie, nothing like the store! It was all so yummy! Here are a few lo's!


This week is going to be busy with Open House on Thursday and then heading to the mountains on Friday for a weekend of fishing!

Happy Scrapbooking Day!

What are you all doing for National Scrapbooking Day? Me, well I have to clean the house first but then I am headed to my scrapbooking room!! I need to make 4 Mother's Day cards, and a Congrats card for my cousin who just found out she's pregnant! And try to do some pages!!! Can't wait, so I better get cleaning!!! Have a great day!

A quick post!

I have finally gotten a chance to scrap! Last night I finally did our May calendar. And tonight dh was working late so I decided to do another page. I will have to wait till tomorrow to take a photo of it but I love it!! And it felt good to finally do some pages! I was a little rusty starting off! lol

Too long!

It's been too long since my last post! I can't believe it's already May! Were do I begin...our trip to Monterey was great! We went to the aquarium, did lots of walking, sat on the beach and drove on the 17 mile drive(it's where Pebble Beach is)! It was a really relaxing trip and so beautiful there!

The last few weeks have been super busy, I haven't had any free time to scrap. I have so many pictures from our trip that I can't wait to scrap!! I hope to make time this weekend.

Last week I went with a friend to Sacramento for a 3 day teaching conference. It was good. There were lots of good workshops. The food was horrible though! We walked to the Cheesecake Factory the last night with some other teachers from our district. It was yummy and nice to eat something other than hotel food! There was also a mall in walking distance so after dinner we went shopping and we all bought shoes at Macy's. They were having a great sale!

Vacation time!

We are off to a mini vacation! I am so thrilled that my husband and I get some time to hang out! We always go away with family so it will be nice to be able to hang out and do what we want to do! :) Don't get my wrong love our family but it's nice to go away alone sometimes! I have to post this new lo that I did last night. I LOVE it!! I can't look at it enough! I did it for the Designer Diaries ribbon challenge that they have going. It was a lot of fun and really came together quickly! Love when that happens! Enjoy the rest of your week and weekend! Next post will have pictures from our trip up north!

Spring Break!!!

I am on Spring break and sick! I was starting to get sick last week, by Saturday I felt much better, but last night it was back! At least I am at home! Our Easter was really busy but good! We started the day off at church. Joe and I went for the first time to a church near our house. We really liked it and hope to start going more regularly! Then we headed to the park for his family's get together. It was a fun time, with fun games and lots to eat! But it was sure cold. (I think that's partly why I felt sick by the time we got home!) Next we headed to my parents' and ate a little more! The only sad part is that we didn't get many pictures to scrap!!! Joe thought it would be funny to make faces in all my pictures, I was very upset!!! I am sharing one of them!
So on my first day home I got this lo done. I have a shirt that had a similar saying on it so the title came easily on this one!

Once again it doesn't seem like it's been so long since I have posted but it has! I got a lot of scrappy things done this last weekend! It felt so good! My job for next week is to really organize my space! I will be on spring break and so I need to do this! It's getting out of hand! So here are just a few new things! I really love how this wedding lo turned out. At first I thought the lettering might be too much but I do like it!

Well the weekend flew by and I didn't get to get any scappin done! So sad! Saturday was spent at the walk in clinic with my husband. We wait for 2 and a half hours! Not fun! He has bronchitis! Came home and cleaned the house and went to dinner with my parents. Sunday I was supposed to get my report cards done but my husband invited his brother and wife over for diiner and a haircut. She cuts his hair. So I'm off to work on the report cards now! YUCk! A few new lo's from me to share from last weekend's crop night~

Oh my gosh how time flies! I did not realize how long it's been since I last posted!! We have been so busy! We have been out in the desert the last two weekends. I am so happy that we finally get to stay home this weekend! Last Friday I got to go to crop night with Michelle! We had fun and I got 3 pages done and started on another. It felt good to finally get in some scrappin time! I have only uploaded one. I added to my two pager and finished the one I started, but I have not had time to take a picture. Here is one that I did do using a pencillines.com sketch. I am pretty happy with how it turned out and was glad I was able to use my Valentine's paper!

Yesterday was the big day, the Scrpabook Expo. Michelle and I got there early so we had a wait a little while but it wasn't too long. We both did a lot of shopping and surprisingly we finished earlier than I thought! We left and went to lunch, which was an adventure itself!! Who knew there was no place to eat in Irvine!! Then we headed to another scrapbook store that a friend from scrapbook.com told us about. It took awhile to find that too but we did! They had lots of yummy new paper!!! I had to hold myself back alittle since I had just finished buying all that paper at the Expo!! So while we were at the store we also met Cindee from scrapbook.com! It was cool to finally meet her in person! Her work is amazing and is posted in the store! So overall it was a great day shopping with Michelle!!

So last night and today my goal was to organize my old stuff to make room for new stuff!! I made a stack of stuff for my mom and also for my brother's gf who is beginning to scrap! (just remembered that!) Instead I have been making a bigger mess by scrapping a few lo's! I did put all my honeymoon pictures in a regular album! I had finished my scrapbook for our honeymoon awhile back but the extra pictures have been sitting on my scrappin table. It felt good to make a little room! But tonight I have to get to organizing!! It looks like a bomb went off in here!!

I have posted one lo that I have been wanting to do since Christmas! I am pretty happy with how it turned out!! Have a great week!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Ours was good! Joe brought me home flowers yesterday. This morning in my car he surprised me and left a new cd on the seat! We decided not to really get each other anything because we have been buying things for the house and we really don't need anything! I am so excited for the weekend! I am going to my first Scrapbook Expo with my friend Michelle on Saturday! I think that it will be a little overwelming but I hope I can find some great things! It is also a 3 day weekend so that is always good! Can't wait for it to get here!

WOw! It's been awhile since I last posted! Time flies!! Over the weekend we celebrated 3 birthdays! WOW! Saturday was my friend Amy's surprise 30th! It was fun and boy was she surprised, her husband did a great job! Sunday we went to visit my Grandma and celebrated her birthday! Got back to my parents and had dinner for my brother's birthday! Needless to say it was an expensive weekend!

I have gotten a few scrappy things done this weekend! My friend Michelle and I went to crop night Friday, it was an adventure! But when we finally got there and started working we both got lots done! She is going to be teaching her first class there soon!! I worked on my calendar again and did 2 pages for a book I am going to give my brother and his fiance for their wedding gift! They are the first two pages and I really like how they turned out!
Yesterday I had plans with an old friend from grade school. Well I went to the restaurant and waited and waited. I knew in the morning I should have called her but I didn't. Sure enough I called her and she was still at home. She wasn't ready so we decided to do it another day! I was bummed because I was craving a BBQ chicken pizza! Later on we went to Pasta Bravo, just ok, for dinner with some friends. Afterwards we went bowling and had a blast!! We haven't been in quite some time so it was fun and I bowled horrible but that was ok! It was great to see my friend Kari and her Husband, Jeff. He is very entertaining!!! We laughed a lot!
Today I finished a quick lo for the Designer Diaries sketch! I need to use sketches more often because it really helps move me along! So here it is, called US!
