A new lo!

I woke up early this morning, ate breakfast and made a page! Love how it turned out. I used the new Pencil Lines Sketch for this lo.

This weekend was great! Saturday Michelle and I went to the OC Expo. We were really dissappointed! Last year we got so many more good deals and this year we didn't find too many! The best things I found were Heidi Swapp embellishments. Since we finished in about an hour we headed to a store we stopped at last year too, Scrapbook Oasis.

Yesterday Joe and I had our Valentine's date. We went to Morton's Steakhouse! It was our first time and it was yummy. I am not a big steak eater but I must say it was very delicious! We even got desert which is rare for us. The dinner was so good that I figured the desert must be just as good! I was right!! We shared a huge slice of Key Lime Pie! The waiter we had was so friendly! He didn't charge us for the desert, he put on the recipt that it was our anniversary! We never told him that but hey it was a nice treat!! He got a nice tip from us for his great service!!! :)

Off to the grocery store! :(

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you had a happy Valentine's Day! We did! We said no gifts this year. When I got home Joe had two bouquets of flowers for me and a few twix bars in front of the vase. Well as I went around the house he hid twix for me everywhere! They are my favorite but during this pregnancy I really love them!

I am now 24 weeks pregnant! I can't believe how fast time is going by! I took a few new pictures of my belly.

I got this idea from Michelle's blog.

Last week my favorite cousin Veronica came to visit! We are really close, she has always been like a sister to me. She came with her new baby girl Eva!! She is 2and a half months old was so so adorable! I didn't want her to go home! Joseph and I are her godparents too! I only wish they lived closer!! She promised to be back soon after our baby is born!

On Saturday when they arrived it was Veronica's birthday so I made a few things for her and of course had to make something for Eva too!

Have a great weekend!

Tagged

was tagged by my friend Danielle....so here goes!!

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C. At the end of the game the player tags 5 people, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Where were you 10 years ago:
I was in college, living at home and working part time at a dental office.

Five things on my to-do list today:
1. Get Valentine goodie bags ready
2. Grade some papers
3. Do the dishes
4. Watch American Idol
5. Pick up before bed

Five snacks I enjoy:
1. Cool Ranch Doritos
2. Carrots
3. String cheese
4. yogurt
5. fruit

What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire:
I would quit work, buy a new bigger house, buy a vacation house in Maui, take our families on a trip somewhere and just relax and enjoy life.

Four of my bad habits:
1. Procastination
2. Paying the bills late, kinda goes with #1 I guess
3. snacking when I am not hungry
4. leaving the house messy

Five jobs that I have had:
1. Elementary teacher
2. Substitute teacher
3. Dental office front and back office helper
4. babysitter
5. and I don't think I have a 5th one

Five things people don't know about me:
1. I hate being late
2. I am quiet around people I am not comfortable with
3. I speak another language, Hungarian
4. I hate dry feet, I will put on lotion in the middle of the night if I have too!
5. I am horrible about calling people

Now I must tag 5 people! I tag....

We will be surprising my grandma this weekend for her 80th birthday with a little party! I am so excited to see our new goddaughter Eva!!! I'm sure I will have tons of pictures next week to share!

It's a.........

BOY! It's official it is a BOY! We had our ultrasound at 4:30 on Tuesday. We were so excited to see him again. He was moving around for us and even waved! The first thing we saw was his hand and it looked as if he was waving to us! It was too cute! So now we have to agree on a name for our baby boy!!

I hosted a crop at my house yesterday, not as many showed up as said but the four of us had fun and lots of yummy treats! I only finished one lo though! :( I was busy trying to help my mom and mother in law with their pages. I did continue after they all left and did a two pager. This first lo is from our first Ultrasound, not this last one.

This 2 pager is from our first full day in Maui. We found this beautiful beach park while on a drive. It was so nice and empty! We have since seen it on tv on one of the most beautiful beaches of Hawaii show on the Travel channel. It was worth the stop! We were having too much fun here too since we were the only ones on the beach. That is a picture of Joe and his brother getting ready to race on the beach.

Have a great week!

Inspired!

That was me last night! I was looking at some layouts in the scrapbook.com gallery and got inspired to start scrapping. I dug out a lo that I kinda started a few months ago at a crop. I had only cut the paper but nothing was glued down. I had some trouble with the pictures and their placement. I am still not sure about it but hey I got 8 pictures on there!! So here is the first 2pages I finished.

So next I moved onto my one and only picture I took of myself during the first trimester. Well I did take another of my shirt pulled up but that is not scrap-worthy! lol I really had fun with this one. i actually started with a different piece of pp that I really wanted to use and chose some of these to go with it and after I cut it up decided not to even use that one. The picture is not the best and I released after it was glued that I forgot to take out the red eye but oh well! It will do!

So it was getting late but I was on a mission and couldn't stop! :) So I did one of our tree from this year. We don't have many pictures at home from the holidays so I like to scrap our tree just to remember.

I found the trees in a magazine and lifted the idea, love how they turned out!

That's all for tonight! Good night!

During my break I was able to do one layout! So sad I know!! I have tons of pictures waiting to be scrapped! I need to go to a crop night to catch up!!

Happy New Year!

Hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve! We stayed home and just had my parents over for dinner! Joe has been really sick the last few days so he even went to bed shortly after dinner. My parents and I hung out but we could not make it till midnight. They left around 9:30 and I went to bed at 11:00. I can't believe how fast 2007 went by! Time sure flies and I am getting older! But 2007 was really a great year for us! Here is my list of memories or things that stand out:
*went to Monterey for the first time-loved it there
*did a lot of work on the house
*turned 30!!
*went Maui for the second time and watched my brother get married
*got pregnant :)
That's all for now but I know there must be more!

Our Christmas was wonderful! We spent Christmas Eve with my family and Day with his. It went by way too fast. I am really sad it's over but so looking forward to next year!

I am sharing a canvas that I made for my mom for Christmas. I made it the night before CHristmas eve and was really happy with it!And my mom loved, she said she didn't need another gift. Can't wait to make one for myself!

Also at the same time in between waiting for the paint to dry I made this frame for my sil. I bought it months ago at Michaels for $1.00 and love how easy it was. I will have to pick up another one because they are fun little gifts to give!

Hope you have a wonderful 2008!

Oh so YUMMY!

I am making my favorite cookies! I love peanut butter cookies and love snickers so when I found this recipe I had to try them last year and they have become one of my favorite cookies ever! They are best right out of the oven!
Here is where you can find the recipe if you are interested.
http://ahafermann.typepad.com/my_thoughts_exactly_well_/2006/10/index.html
So I mentioned that peanut butter cookies are my favorite, so I also made these ones with Kisses in them!
I have also been making sugar cookies and starting on rice crispy treats!

Last weekend dh had his work party at the Newport Beach Harbor. We watched the boat parade and joined in at the end and cruised the harbor. It was a lot of fun and so much better than sitting down at a restaurant. We even got a $100 gift card to Morton's Steakhouse! We have heard how yummy it is and have never been so now we are going to have to try it! Here is a picture of just one of the many yacht's that cruised by decorated with lights!

Back to baking!

Bad Blogger!

Lately I have been such a bad blogger! Things have been super busy around here so I guess that is part of the reason! Our Thanksgiving was great! It seems like it was so long ago. Unfortunalty my sil's 20 yr old cousin died the day after Thanksgiving. We had gone away for the weekend and didn't find out until we came home. He was trying to catch up to a friend who had made it through a light and was speeding, lost control of the car and went down the side of the road. His brother the passenger flew out the window and survived. I right away started making a scrapbook with my sil of her cousin who past away and we finished last Saturday. She had it out at the viewing last weekend. Today is the funeral. They have been waiting for the brother to get out of the hospital.
On to happier things! We are pregnant!!! I am now 14 weeks but last SUnday after we got back from the viewing and eating at BJ's I decided I should take my picture. I am feeling very bloated here! I am 13weeks and 3 days in this picture.

Thursday night we went to pick out a tree! We have always gotten a Noble Fir however Joe growing up always got a DOuglas Fir. I personally think they look like a bush! So when we first got married he said every other year he gets his tree. Well the last 3 years I have won! This year we decided to get something different. We picked out a Grand Fir. Made him happy because it's similar to a Douglas but much prettier! So here is our Grand tree we decorated last night!

Ok I am off to clean up and then go Christmas shopping!!!

GRASS!

Finally after about six months we have grass! It's so weird to look outside and see it all green! I am so happy it's done! My dad, brother and father in law all helped Joe and were finished in no time! SO glad they came to help!

A new lo

This is one of my favorites from the crop on Saturday. I love the picture of my family at the luau in Maui!

My haircut turned out really cute! Danielle did a great job! But of course I haven't taken a picture yet! Hopefully this weekend.

I am so glad it's Friday tomorrow! It was a short work week but I had report cards due today. All week I have been working on them and testing the kids at school. SO glad that's all done. Now it's conference time! But no kids next week so that will be kinda nice! We have a busy weekend ahead. A craft show tomorrow with a friend. Saturday we are FINALLY putting in grass in the front yard, I'm sure the neighbors will be happy too! Also Saturday we are going to my SIL PAtty's 30th birthday party. Sunday I may start some Christmas shopping! Can't wait for the holidays! Love this time of year!

Finally...

some new los! Last Sunday at 8 o'clock I decided I wanted to scrap so I put together this lo in about 20 minutes total! It's a very simple page but with guy pages I have a hard time embellishing! These are pictures from this summer when the guys went away for my brother Eric's bachelor weekend. They went fishing and dirt bike riding all weekend in Mammoth mountains. So here it is.

Last night my friend Michelle invited me to join her crop with her design team at Table Scrapz. I got so many pages done! I am so glad she invited me! It was a little tough because it seems like forever since I have done some decent pages. Here is one of the ones that I finished there. Again because it's a guy lo I am not sure about it.

I am glad we took this picture of all them together since Joe was not in the wedding it's the only one of him with the guys. The picture did not turn out that good though. FOr some reason the setting on my camera got changed and many of my Hawaii pictures look foggy or something! I have since fixed it!
More los to come soon!

I am off work tomorrow for Veteran's Day! I am so happy! But I have report cards to work on instead. But I am also getting a color and cut tomorrow! I am going to my brother's girlfriend Danielle for the first time. SHe has been bugging me to try her out so I will see what she does tomorrow!

Ready to go!

Last week Joe found this great buy online. He called me numerous times at work on Thursday and asked if we could go see it. Well we did and we liked it but left without making an offer. Friday we called back and made a deal! We picked it up on Monday and it is now in our driveway. Not for long though, it's too big to leave there. We are going to have it detailed inside and out because it was dirty but such a great deal we couldn't pass it up. We were looking for a small 20 foot trailer and this one is 30 feet. But it was the same price as a smaller one. This is not the best picture but will do. I'll take another when it's nice and shiny! Joe has been outside late every night playing with his new toy!

It's been almost one month!

Yikes! I can't believe how long since my last post! I have neglected my blog! Things have been just too crazy around here! It seems like we always have something to do! About 3 weeks ago my mom had a party for my brother Eric and his new wife, Nicole. It turned out really good. I didn't take many (if anY) pictures because it was so busy. There were almost 100 people at my parent's house! It was lots of fun. My cousin and her husband flew in from Oregon and stayed here with us for the weekend. It was so good to see them after about 6 years, and Joe finally got to meet them.
Then 2 weeks ago we celebrated my MIL's 50th! We went to a Brazilan restuarant where they bring out tons of different meat to your table, it was so good! We ate way too much though!
Last weekend we celebrated my's dad's birthday! He turned 55 this year, he was not too happy about that! He even called in sick on his b-day! We took him out last weekend to the Yardhouse and then went to the Improv comedy club! It was a great show, we saw John Witherspoon!!
This weekend we made an offer on a toy hauler trailer and hopefully we can pick it up tomorrow! We are excited to finally have our own.
I have not had much time to scrap but did get this one done one night when Joe had to work.

On a sad note one week ago today our beloved family friend, Pat passed away. She was my dad's best friend's mother. She has been like a grandma to my brothers and I growing up! She was the sweetest lady and always talked to anyone she met! We will miss her dearly and I am so thankful that she was able to be at the party at my parent's house just a few weeks ago!

The wedding day

The wedding day was a little hectic but that's normal, right? Joe went with all the guys to do some snorneling. My brother Eric, the groom, told me that they forgot the flower girl baskets and the ring bearer pillow so my sister in law, PAtty, and I went to get some. We found a bridal shop and bought a pillow there for $45!! We thought we'd got to Wal-Mart and get baskets. Well silly me didn't think ahead. Of course they had a pillow for $11 but the first one was not returnable! oops! But we did find two cheap baskets. My other brothers gf, Danielle was going to do my mom's hair but ended up doing all the bridesmaid, the bride and the mother of the bride so Patty did my mom's hair and make-up. She also did my hair. We arrived at the hotel at 3:30 and hung out in a beatiful suite with my brother and took some pictures.

It was very cloudy the day of the wedding. Right before the cermony the sun peeked out. My brother did not seem nervous but when my mom and I started to tear up right before he walked me down the aisle he teared up too! I ws really happy when he told me that he was walking me down the aisle.

The ceremony was beautiful. My brother cried when he saw Nicole and a few times during the ceremony he did. The bride's uncle did the service, it was short but very nice.

The reception was outside. It was a gorgeous location and the food was awesome! Best wedding food I have had in a long time!

We had a great time!

The next day Joe and I went for a drive. This picture is looking down on the part of the island where we stayed. It doesn't look like it but we are pretty high up.

That night we went to a luau with my family and some of my brother's friends. It was a great luau and the food was great. The one we went to on our honeymoon was not as good.

Home Sweet Home

We made it home safely late last night! I am still trying to adjust to the time difference! Our trip was awesome and my brother's wedding was beautiful! I took so many great pictures, about 400!!! I will start with day 1.

We got to Maui a little late, as LAX was jammed with planes trying to leave. We were greeted with fresh leis, didn't get that last time. So when we arrived in Maui we headed straight for McDonalds. We got two mini biscuit crackers on the plane so we were hungry! Then we did some shopping at Wal-Mart for the condo. We got to the condo with just enough time to change and head to the rehearsal. It was short and sweet! Next we headed to Bada Bing, an italian restaurant. My brother got lost so we waited an hour or more before ordering dinner. Everyone was hungry and tired from traveling. But we still had a great time!

Day 2
We decided to go for a little drive to the other side of Maui. We found this really cool beach, it was called DT fleming beach park.

Joe has actually seen it on the Travel channel. It was really beautiful there. We decided to drive back to Kaanapali beach though and hang out there for the day. I didn't get pictures there but it's voted as one of the best beaches of Maui. We got in the water and enjoyed our day in the sun! We headed back in the afternoon to our condo. We got cleaned up and went to a restuarant called Cheeseburgers Island Style. They have the best cheeseburgers!! We actually went there on our honeymoon and had to go back! It was in a mall so we did a little window shopping!!

Our condo was amazing! We only saw a few small pictures but I highly recommend it if you are going to Maui!!

This is the view from the lobby area, the pool is what you see below.

This is the view from our patio looking to the left.

I'll be back with the wedding pictures!

Happy Blog anniversary to me!

It has been one year since I started blogging! I can't believe how much I have enjoyed it!

The first day of school...

is tomorrow! Last week I met some of my new students at our Good Start. They are all very cute and so little! SOme are still 4 years old! Our numbers are a little low still so hopefully they will trickle in. SO my room is ready and I just need to pick out something to wear! I had gotten a new outfit but it's been so hot that I think what I got will be too hot to wear.
Last week was spent in my classroom, however on Monday I treated myself to my massage! It was at Burke Williams, it was heaven! The atmosphere inside is so relaxing and quiet! There were three lounges to chose from to relax and wait for your appointments in! I got there early enough to enjoy the hot tub in the womens spa area! That was great!! I tried a misting room but that was not my favorite! I got a birthday bath, which was a milk bath with some kind of orange herb added in. Very relaxing! Then afterwards I had my massage, it was great! I stayed after and enjoyed the hot tub and took a nice shower and took my time getting ready to leave. It was a lot of fun, but next time it would be fun to go with a friend or two!!
Today I didn't have to go into work, no meetings today. It was a day to work in your room but since mine was ready I stayed home! It was nice to sleep in and lounge around. I got lots of laundry done and Joe came home early so we went to the $1.50 theater and saw Knocked UP. We couldn't find anything else out that we wanted to see so we checked an old one. It was so funny, we laughed the whole time. Not bad for $3.00!
I haven't done much scrappin lately but I did do my September calendar page finally!! I still need to do the rest of the year, so bad I know!!! I used some super old Micheals pack paper for this page but I think it's fine. I used a picture of us in Hawaii since we are going in Sept.

Have a great of the week! Thanks for stopping by!
